Happy Horizons Trust was formed to support the education of girls in rural parts of India. The Trust engages high school girls (called Champions) through a youth leadership fellowship program with the goal of strengthening their education and providing future opportunities.

Happy Horizons Trust was looking to create a strategy and business model that would help it reach self-sustainability through increased revenue. The concept presented to the Trust was a product that is sourced in India and that can generate revenue to fund various efforts.

The book bag is lined with fabric that feature the story of a “Champion”. The bag also showcases art created by a Champion on the tag. The fabric used for the outside of the bag is sourced from a local business, supporting local communities. Each bag is produced as a limited edition item, and promoted via social media and email campaigns.
